New Year

30 Dec 2011
The year is almost over, and it's an odd thing, a truly odd thing, because it has gone so quickly. This year I have turned 18, managed to keep a relationship going, had a mini breakdown in Summer (not my best Summer, I'll admit, but it helped me understand things) miraculously passed my a levels and moved to London to pursue an English degree. I have made new friends and greatly missed old ones, I have had very down moments but also can look back and say that this year, will truly be a year I remember, unlike any other year before that. As usual, I'll make resolutions for the year to come. Here are the main contenders (I make a lot).

- Lose weight (I've piled on the pork since going to uni)
- Read lots more, maybe even one novel a week.
- Read Ulysses by James Joyce
- Get my first job? Scary thought.
- Truly dedicate myself to this blog. I'm sorry there has been so many stops and starts. And I'm sorry I haven't commented on any of your blogs recently, it doesn't mean I don't read them!
- Make the most of living in London. Be more in tune with what is going on and attempt to be part of that.
- Go to more gigs
- Go to a place I have always wanted to go (I want it to be Russia, praying for Russia)
- Write more. This is the important one. Write for at least 20 minutes a day.
- Never miss a chance.
- Make cupcakes (random one but the Hummingbird bakery cookbook is fuelling my interest in baking)
- Stop being such a social failure (that resolution has been going for a while.)

Here are some of my favourite photographs from the past year (more from the latter part of the year) apart from the Rough trade one, which I obviously didn't take.

Hope you liked them! Another resolution of mine is to improve my photography and take more photos, so hopefully you shall be seeing more from me soon enough! I wish all of you who are viewing this blog a very happy New Year and I thank you for giving this rather mediocre webpage the time of day. See you in 2012!

I'm a recent follower and in so far, I'm loving what you do. I have similar goals, like reading, writing and blogging more, and also not being such a "social failure"
